The easiest way to start. Come by with your dog for a relaxed hello, meet Ellen's two friendly dogs, see the yard, and ask anything at all, so you both feel completely comfortable before the first stay.
What happens at a Meet & Greet
You and your dog visit Ellen's home in Oro-Medonte. Your dog gets to sniff around the house and the big country yard and say hello to the two small resident dogs, while you and Ellen talk through the things that matter: your dog's routine, food, any medication, what they love and what they find hard. It is deliberately low-key. There is no test to pass; the point is for your dog to recognise the place next time, and for you to see exactly where they will be staying.
What to bring
A leash, a copy or photo of your dog's vaccination records, and any medication with the instructions your vet gave you, so Ellen can confirm she is comfortable with the routine. If your dog is nervous with new people or other dogs, say so when you book and she will keep the introduction slow. Where, when and what comes next
Ellen is in Oro-Medonte, about 13 km from Orillia and 18 km from Barrie. Pick a day and a rough time of day above and she will confirm the exact time, normally within four business hours. If you are booking drop-in visits or house sitting at your own home, mention it and she will arrange to meet you there instead. After the visit, if it feels right for everyone, you request your dates and Ellen confirms the booking.
